This is definitely a newborn session that will stand out in my memories because this sweet boy was born in the middle of a global pandemic. The world is such a strange place right now and everything is being run so differently, including photo sessions. This was my first session back after taking a big quarantine break. It was so strange to do a newborn session without touching anything. But, in the midst of the craziness, it was still such a sweet session.

I’ve known Mary-Catherine for many years! Her oldest brother and sister-in-law are some of my closest friends from Clemson. Really, our families go all the way back to when our parents were at Clemson together. I’ve loved getting to know her family for all these years and now it is so fun to see her as a mom. I was honored when she asked me to take pictures of their precious new baby, John Miles. He is one loved little boy who has two big sisters who will be sure to help take great care of him. Thank you so much, Mary-Catherine and Kevin for allowing me to come to your home in the midst of the pandemic to capture these memories as you began your life as a family of 5!

I say this every time I get to do a newborn session but I absolutely love working with families when they have a new baby. It is so special for me to be able to capture these sweet memories with the newest addition to a family because those days go by so fast. Every newborn session is special to me but some are extra special. This session is one of those extra special sessions for me. This little cutie is my college roomie’s sweet little boy, Manning. I’ve had the honor of taking pictures of all three of her babies and it means so much to me that she ask me to take pictures of each of her babies.

Manning was such a great sport during the session. I kept reminding him that this is the only time I’ll torture him with so many pictures. He looked so cute in his daddy’s outfit and snuggled up on his daddy’s blanket. And he sure is loved by his big sisters! Manning, I cannot wait to watch you grow up and see all that God has planned for your life. Lizzy and Rob, thanks again for allowing me to capture these memories for your growing family. Congratulations on your precious little boy!

Ok, one final post to catch up on all my pictures from before Christmas. But this last post is full of some super cuteness. This precious newborn is Charlotte. She is the newest daughter of some friends of our’s. I’ve had the incredible honor of capturing some big moments for these sweet friends…their wedding (which is what began our friendship), their first daughter at 6 months old (who I also had the pleasure of babysitting 2 days a week when she was a baby), their second daughter’s newborn portraits, their extended family portraits and now their third daughter’s newborn portraits. This is what I love the most about my business, being able to capture these memories for families and watch them grow over the years. Congratulations Ben, Clair and big sisters Emma and Lillie on the newest addition to your family. Charlotte, I am looking forward to watching you grow up with your sweet sisters and seeing all that God has planned for you!
