The “S” Family 2019 – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

November 4, 2019

It is always such a pleasure working with Craig and Ashley, good friends of mine from Clemson. I’ve known them for a long time now and have had the honor of capturing so many memories for them over the years. This year, we headed to Greer City Park for their family portraits. I haven’t shot there in a few years but I always love that location…even if the fountain is filled with pink water for breast cancer awareness month, haha. Craig and Ashley, thank you so much for trusting me with your family memories again this year. I am so thankful for you, your family and your friendship!

November 4, 2019

It is that time of year again when I am busy with fall mini sessions and everyone is gearing up for Christmas. I always love this time of year, even if it is always super busy. I love working with my clients again and seeing how their kids have grown over the year. I am always honored when someone asks me to take their family portraits but I feel even more honored when they come back each year for more pictures, like this family. I have loved watching Luke and Caleb grow up and getting to know Tim and Rachel better each year. We had a great time taking their portraits this year at one of my all time favorite locations (quite possibly my favorite), Campbell’s Covered Bridge. It is always a pleasure working with this family! Thank you, Tim and Rachel, for allowing me to capture your family memories again this year!

February 15, 2019

This family session was supposed to happen before Christmas but was postponed due to bad weather and schedules. But, I was excited to be able to work with Dan and Natalie again this year. They are friends from church and I was honored that they asked me to take their pictures again. They even brought along Natalie’s parents and sister for the shoot. Thankfully, the weather was perfect the day we rescheduled! We headed to the Furman Bell Tower for their session. I haven’t shot at the Bell Tower in a few years and forgot what a pretty spot it is for pictures! Little Chase loved the stairs in the tower and looking for all the ducks! Dan and Natalie, thanks for allowing me to capture your family memories this year and even bringing your extended family in for the session! It means so much to me that my friends ask me to take their pictures year after year!

February 5, 2019

I had the privilege of taking pictures of this sweet family again this year. Nick and Lindsey are friends from church and I was honored to take their Christmas portraits again. We squeezed their pictures in one Sunday right after church. I was worried the weather was going to cause problems but thankfully, the rain let up during church and the fog lifted. I love the way the slight fog looked in the church fields. Thank you Nick and Lindsey for letting me capture your family memories again this year!

The V Family – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

January 24, 2019

I am still working on catching the blog up on the Christmas sessions I did this past year. This sweet family are friends from our church. We are in the same community group with them and we love watching Elijah and CC grow up. I was so honored when Mary Laurel asked me to take their family portraits this year. It ended up being a cold day for pictures but they were troopers as we trekked down to the West End train tracks, one of my favorite spots. Thanks Tim and Mary Laurel for letting me take your Christmas portraits this year!

January 14, 2019

This sweet family are good friends of our’s and I was honored when Lydia asked me to take their Christmas portraits this year. We headed to one of my favorite spots, Campbell’s Covered Bridge, for their pictures and it did not disappoint. We hit it at just the right time when the fall colors were gorgeous! The boys are so fun and did great during the pictures, even after a slip in the mud for Silas. Thanks so much, Dave and Lydia, for allowing me to capture these special memories for you this year!

The Ledford Family – Greenville, SC Family Photographer

January 7, 2019

For the third year in a row, I had the privilege of taking this sweet family’s Christmas portraits. The Ledfords are friends of our’s from church and I was honored when Julie asked me to take their pictures again this year. Their family grew this year with the birth of precious Sullivan! We took their portraits at Casey’s mom’s property. The farm is absolutely beautiful with views of the mountains, which of course made me very happy. Thanks so much, Casey and Julie, for allowing me to capture your family memories again this year!

January 4, 2019

Happy New Year from Wetzel Photography! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s with their family and friends. Now that Christmas is over, I can finally share with you the different family sessions I did for Christmas portraits this year. First up, the W family.

I always love working with this sweet family and I was excited when Rachel asked me to take their Christmas portraits again this year. I took their portraits back in the spring but the boys have grown so much in just a few short months, especially little Caleb, who turned 1 just after these pictures were taken. We headed to Conestee Nature Park for their fall portraits and the sunlight was so pretty that morning. Thank you, Tim and Rachel, for letting me capture your family memories twice this past year!

Happy 1st Birthday, Rayf!

March 19, 2018

So, I am late posting this first birthday session but I wanted to wait until their family session was posted on Care2Foster.org as well. I had the privilege of doing 2 mini sessions in one for this family, who happen to be friends of our’s as well. I’ve taken their pictures several times throughout the past few years and I love working with them. This year, I took some 1 year portraits of sweet Rayf. We were supposed to take the pictures at Furman, but apparently the campus shuts down to the public during their winter break. Thankfully, our church has a beautiful yard and is close to Furman so we headed there for the pictures instead. While we were taking Rayf’s pictures, I also snapped some family pictures to be featured on Care2Foster.org, a website dedicated to providing information on fostering in South Carolina. I am honored to be one of the volunteer photographers for Care2Foster because I love being able to help spread the word on how much SC needs foster families. Jen and Joey have had 3 foster kids come through their home so far. We love seeing their family open up their home to these special kids that need a safe place to stay and need love while they are in that home. Thanks, Jen and Joey, for being willing to open your home to these kids from hard places and give them the love that they desperately need. We look forward to seeing where your foster journey heads next! And thanks for letting me capture these memories for you as you celebrated Rayf’s first birthday!

To see the rest of Jen and Joey’s family session you can visit their featured story on Care2Foster.

The “G” Family Portraits

February 22, 2018

Well, I just realized that I never posted this session from my Christmas minis. Life happened and I completely dropped the ball on sharing these pictures. But, better late than never. So, here is the “G” family. They are dear friends of our’s and it was an honor to be able to take their family portraits this year as they celebrated their first Christmas as a family of 3. Sweet little “E” wasn’t into the pictures very much but she looked cute even without the smiles. We took their portraits in one of my all time favorite locations, the West End. I always love the different textures and urban feel of the West End. Thanks “G” family for allowing me to capture your family memories this year!
