This sweet family are friends with some of my friends from college. I was so honored when they asked me to take their very first family portraits! I love working with families but it is extra special to be trusted to take your very first portraits. They were so sweet to work with and we had a great time shooting in the West End. I had the great privilege of meeting this precious baby girl and her sweet family a few weeks ago. I was honored to be invited into their home in the midst of COVID (with a mask and extra precautions of course) to document their new life as a family of 4. I had a great time working with them and connecting with Adele over our similar IKEA design taste. Avalene was such a sweet baby and did so well during her first portrait session. It is my honor to introduce you to this precious baby boy, Graeme. I had the privilege of meeting him when he was just a little over 24 hours old. His sweet mama, Kathryn, asked me to come to their house when they arrived home from the hospital to take their first pictures as a family of 5. Because of COVID, Graeme’s big brothers were not allowed at the hospital to meet him so I got to capture some of their first moments with their baby brother and it was so special. Congratulations, Kathryn and Carlisle! Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of such a special time in your family’s life.
For the third year in a row, I’ve had the honor of taking pictures for these sweet friends. This year, was extra special because Jennifer asked me to take their pictures in their house. They are building a new house and wanted to record memories in this house because it has been such a special place for their family. I loved being able to help them capture such special memories before they move. My dear friend from church asked me about taking some socially distanced portraits for her family during the quarantine. She and her husband were celebrating a milestone anniversary, 10 years, and their sweet “Baby D” was just starting to sit unassisted…two big things for their family to document in the midst of the pandemic. We also made sure to get shots of their other two precious kiddos. I was honored to be able to capture these special moments in their lives at their house. Happy Anniversary Tim and Mary Laurel! I had the honor of working with the “E” family again this spring. This was my third time working with this sweet family and it is always so fun seeing them and seeing how much their girls have grown. This year, we took their portraits at their house and I enjoyed making the session very personal to their style. We even had their dogs join the session. It has been a few years since I’ve done a cake smash session and I forgot how much fun they are. This little cutie had a blast with her cake! She really got into it, which made it all the more fun and messy. Happy 1st Birthday, sweet girl! Thanks for letting me celebrate your special day with you!
This is definitely a newborn session that will stand out in my memories because this sweet boy was born in the middle of a global pandemic. The world is such a strange place right now and everything is being run so differently, including photo sessions. This was my first session back after taking a big quarantine break. It was so strange to do a newborn session without touching anything. But, in the midst of the craziness, it was still such a sweet session.
I’ve known Mary-Catherine for many years! Her oldest brother and sister-in-law are some of my closest friends from Clemson. Really, our families go all the way back to when our parents were at Clemson together. I’ve loved getting to know her family for all these years and now it is so fun to see her as a mom. I was honored when she asked me to take pictures of their precious new baby, John Miles. He is one loved little boy who has two big sisters who will be sure to help take great care of him. Thank you so much, Mary-Catherine and Kevin for allowing me to come to your home in the midst of the pandemic to capture these memories as you began your life as a family of 5!
Like everyone is saying these days, we are living in a crazy, unprecedented time right now with COVID-19. I hope all of my clients/friends are doing well and staying home and staying healthy! I miss being able to work with all of you and I pray this virus will be stopped soon so that I can capture your family memories again soon!
Right before everything starting going south and all the social distancing was put in place, I had the chance to take some pictures of a very special family, my family! My sis-in-law asked me to take some family portraits for her for Easter and I was thrilled to be able to spend some time with them and take their pictures at Paris Mountain State Park.
