Introducing Miss Grayson – Greenville, SC Newborn Photographer

May 14, 2018

I am so excited to be able to share these pictures with you. This precious girl’s mom, Erin, and I met at the beginning of our sophomore year at Clemson and we’ve been good friends since then. I had the honor of shooting her wedding a few years ago and was thrilled when Erin asked me to take pictures of their newest baby, Grayson. Sweet Grayson didn’t want to go to sleep during her shoot so we worked with those beautiful, bright eyes until she finally crashed. Grayson, you are so loved and I cannot wait to watch you and your big sister grow up! Erin and Adam, thanks so much for allowing me to capture another big moment in your lives!

Introducing Ben

December 1, 2017

So these pictures are some very special pictures to me. They are special for a couple of reasons. One because this precious boy, Ben, is the newest son of some friends of mine from growing up. But they are also special because of this sweet boy’s story. Ben is not Chris and Megan’s first son. Their son, Matthew, will be celebrating his first birthday in Heaven tomorrow. Due to some medical conditions, Matthew only lived a week on earth before God called him home to Heaven. Chris and Megan were incredibly generous to our family in Matthew’s passing because they chose to use his memorial fund for our adoption fund. Because of their incredible sacrifice, we were able to pay for our daughter’s adoption, which ended up costing us a lot more than we anticipated. We are so grateful to Chris and Megan for using Matthew’s story for our adoption. When I heard that they were expecting again I was so excited and knew I wanted to do something for them. I knew I would take pictures of their baby when he arrived but I also wanted to do something more. I was inspired by a friend from college who lost her daughter and had a teddy bear made that weighed the same as her daughter at birth. Well, I knew that was something I could do for Chris and Megan, so I made the bear you see in the pictures and he weighs as much as Matthew. This was the least I could do to thank Chris and Megan for loving our family so much through their loss.

I was so excited when I heard that Ben was here and I could go to Clover to meet him for his pictures. He was such a good model and slept through the whole session. It was so fun to see him with his family, especially his big sisters Elizabeth and Eleanor who adore him. Chris and Megan, we are so thrilled for your growing family! We are praying for you as you celebrate Matthew tomorrow. We are so thankful for you and your precious family! Ben, we cannot wait to watch you grow up and see what God has planned for your life.

Introducing Beatrice…

September 1, 2017

This precious little one is Miss Beatrice. I had the honor of taking her newborn portraits and she was such a sweet little baby model. I’ve worked with Beatrice’s family for many years, starting with her aunt and uncle’s wedding about 6 years ago. I’ve had the privilege of taking her brother’s portraits as well as their family portraits so I was thrilled to come meet Beatrice and take her first portraits. This little girl has 2 big brothers who love her so much and I can tell they are going to look out for their baby sister. Congratulations, Nick and Blakely on your precious baby girl! Thank you so much for letting me capture so many special times for your family. I love watching your family grow over the years!

Joseph’s First Christmas – Greenville, SC Newborn Photographer

March 16, 2017

This little cutie was born just before Christmas and I was so honored to be able to capture some memories from his first Christmas. Joseph’s family are good friends and I was thrilled to be able to take his pictures and get to snuggle him for a little while as well. Joseph wasn’t a huge fan of the pictures and kept giving me this look like I was a crazy lady with the camera and silly hats that I kept putting on his head, which I was. But, we got him comfy and he dosed off to sleep for some regular newborn portraits after the Christmas pictures. He is such a precious little boy, who is so loved by his parents and 3 big sisters! Congratulations on your sweet baby boy, Andrew and Alice. I cannot wait to watch him grow up! And thank you so much for letting me capture these special memories for you.

Meet Sweet Lilly – Greenville, SC Newborn Photographer

March 16, 2017

I just had another special newborn session at the beginning of December. This is Lilly and she is the precious new baby of Ben and Clair and big sister, Emma. It was so fun to take Lilly’s portraits because I used to babysit Emma twice a week when she was a tiny baby and we did a family session when she was about 9 months old. This newborn session was also extra special because I shot Ben and Clair’s wedding back when I was doing weddings. I love seeing their growing family and being able to capture these special moments for them. I did a combo of a posed newborn session and a more lifestyle session for Lilly’s portraits, which was a lot of fun. Emma was so sweet with her baby sister and we even got the dog Jack to pose for a few pictures. Ben’s mom also joined us for the pictures so it was special to get some multi-generational pictures. Congratulations, Ben and Clair on your precious new baby girl! And thank you so much for allowing me to capture all these big moments in your lives.

Meet Miss Karla – Greenville, SC Newborn Photographer

March 16, 2017

I am especially excited to share these pictures with you because they are extra special for me. Let me introduce you to my precious new niece, Karla. Karla was born back in Sept but I have been waiting until after Christmas to share her pictures because of presents. Karla was such a wonderful baby model during her portrait session but I kept telling her not to worry, that Aunt Rachel won’t always make her take pictures like this. We even got big sister, Grace, to sit for a few pictures as well. It was so fun to meet my newest niece and such an honor to take her portraits. Karla, we love you and are so excited to watch you grow up!

Meet Anne Shealy – Greenville, SC Newborn Photographer

March 16, 2017

I have been absent for a little while here. My family and I just moved to a new house (local, still in Greenville, no worries) so photography took a back seat for a while. But, we are settled and I am getting back to work again. I am so excited to be able to share these precious pictures with everyone. My first session after moving was a super special session. I had the honor of doing newborn and family portraits for my college roommate’s new baby girl, Anne Shealy. Elizabeth and I lived together all 4 years of college plus the first year out of college. I love living close to her still and being able to see her and Rob date, get married and now have 2 precious little girls. I took Quinn’s newborn portraits almost exactly 2 years ago so it was really fun to be able to take Anne Shealy’s newborn portraits as well. Big sister Quinn was very interested in the newborn set up and wanted to sit there while Anne Shealy was eating. It was hilarious to see her pose in the same spot she sat 2 years ago…she definitely does not fit on the pillow like she did before. Anne Shealy was an amazing baby model and did not fuss at all when I changed her positions. She just let me move her all over and didn’t care one bit. She is such a cutie and she made my job easy that’s for sure! Congratulations, Elizabeth and Rob! And thank you for allowing me to capture such a special time in your family. I cannot wait to watch Anne Shealy grow up and to see all that God has planned for her little life.

Introducing Miss Cena – Greenville, SC Newborn Photographer

March 16, 2017

This little cutie made her appearance just 3 days after I did a maternity shoot for her parents. I was shocked when I got the news that they were headed to the hospital but I was so excited to meet Miss Cena. She is just precious with big bright eyes. Sweet girl didn’t want to go to sleep right away for her portraits but I took advantage of it and captured some shots of her beautiful eyes and even caught a little sleep smile, which I love with newborns. I love using special props for newborns and the quilt that Cena is laying on in some of the pictures is very special. It was made by her Great-Great Aunt, who is also her namesake. After a little nap and some pictures, she decided she was ready to wake up again to get some snuggles with her mama and daddy and big sister, Roxie. Roxie was determined she was going to be in the pictures and I was happy to have her there, dogs are part of the family too. It was so special for me to see Randy and Christin as new parents. Our family is so excited for them and their growing family. We are so grateful that we get to watch Cena grow up and see the little girl that God has planned for her to become. Congratulations, Randy and Christin, and thanks for letting me capture these special memories of your life as a new family of 3.
