I had the privilege of taking some pictures for a friend from college. I’ve worked with her family a few times over the years when she has been in town so it was really special to be able to take her son’s first birthday/cake smash portraits in the same spot where we took her daughter’s first birthday pictures a couple years ago. It is always so fun to see her and her family and to catch up on life since she does not live in the area anymore. I am always so honored when friends/clients trust me to capture these special moments in their lives. And her little man went to town on his cake! Happy first birthday, A!! And thank you B family for allowing me to capture these memories for you.

These cute kids are some friends from church. Their mom asked me to take their portraits for a special Christmas gift. She wanted to recreate a photo of herself with Hazel wearing her childhood dress and in her childhood chair to give to her mom for Christmas. I truly love helping people with these special gifts. It was a chilly morning at Paris Mountain State Park so we took many breaks between shots to let the kids warm up but they did great. Thank you so much Josh and Meredith for allowing me to be a part of these special pictures!

This was my second year working with the S family and I was so honored when Heidi asked me to take their pictures again this year. I truly means so much to me when clients come back year after year and trust me with their family memories. These pictures were taken at the gorgeous Pelham Mill Park. That park has so many wonderful backdrops for pictures and is quickly becoming one of my favorite shooting locations. Thank you Heidi and James for allowing me to take your pictures again this year!

We headed to the beautiful Poinsett Bridge for this fun family session. This session was a combo family session and 2nd birthday session for sweet little LC. LC wore the same dress that her big sister MW wore in her 2 year portraits, which was so special. I just love taking pictures over the year for special moments like these! For the 3rd year in a row, I’ve taken pictures of these friends at their property. I love going to this special piece of land and capturing their growing family over the years. Happy New Year from Wetzel Photography! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s. Meet sweet Joelle! This little cutie has the most gorgeous eyes and I was so honored to get to take her portraits. I was supposed to take them when she was much younger but due to different illnesses/schedule delays, we had to postpone several times. But, I was finally able to get over to her house to meet her and celebrate this new family of 4. Joelle, we cannot wait to watch you grow up and see what all you do! Adi Mae, you are such a sweet and fun big sister. You girls are going to be the best of friends! This tiny cutie made his entrance into this world a little early. But, his parents and big brother are thankful to have the extra time with him. I was so honored to have the chance to meet him soon after he came home from NICU and take his pictures. Boone, you have a sweet family and we are so excited to watch you grow up.
